For the third most popular Lego Technic Car, the Lego Technic Rally Car is significantly less in price, coming in at around $100. However don’t let the price full you, it’s still quite the Lego Technic Set with 1,005 pieces and stands 9″ tall and 16″ tall. That is because Lego Technic Rally Cars need that suspension height. We found those instructions you can follow for the Lego Technic McLaren, but there is no actual Lego Technic Set you can buy. However if you buy any Lego Technic Car set, you likely have 80% of the pieces. Follow these instructions to create your own Lego Technic McLaren masterpiece. We only recommend this for people who have built one or two actual Lego Technic Supercars already.

We were surprised that the Lego Technic Corvette was so popular because usually only people over 55+ actually own a Chevrolet Corvette. Let’s face it, most younger generations don’t care about Corvettes, they were popular in the late 1990’s and that’s it. We’ll give credit though to Chevrolet for radically revamping the new Corvette design to inspire a younger generation to like it, and perhaps it’s paying off. So we may be able to call it a Lego Technic Mustang. This Lego Technic Mustang has 1,471 pieces and stands at 3″ tall and 13″ long. So it’s one of the smaller Lego Technic sets, but this American Muscle Super Car looks really cool! Since mustangs are all the rage right now, this Lego Technic Mustang may be the perfect gift to get a young mind or young soul, into an engineering mindset and build something with an attention to detail. This Lego Technic Set is like a streamlined version of a bulldozer, so we have to give props for Volvo letting Lego put together the Lego Technic Volvo Wheel Loader Set. The Lego Technic Volvo Wheel Loader stands at 7″ tall and 23″ in length ranking it up there with the largest Lego Technic Construction Sets. However it’s 1,167 pieces so it’s not overly advanced, but not a beginner level Lego Technic Set. Let’s say this is perfect for an intermediate level who LOVES construction and building! You just may have to search a bit for the Lego Technic Volvo Wheel Loader, it’s only available from third parties from around $130 to $200. Amazon does have some sellers though.

The Lego Technic Tractor is like an advanced John Deer Tractor but neon green. The Lego Technic Tractor is a great set with lots of flexibility in pieces. Meaning that the Lego Technic Tractor has a crane up to lift stuff, has a plow in front it can push things around, it has a fork lift to lift supplies and has flexibility where you can add anything to it. We think it’s this flexibility that makes the Lego Technic Tractor so fun. Plus there are lots of kids that live on farms, and this is literally the perfect gift idea for them. Those and people who love construction already!
Bulldozer
No one says bulldozers aren’t cool, they are! The Lego Technic Bulldozer is a 617 piece Loge Technic Set that is ready to crush and bulldoze everything in its path. With a fully moving blade that’s also replaceable with ripper, the Lego Technic Bulldozer is an absolute must for Lego Technic Construction set. Let’s face it, a Lego Technic Bulldozer is an ideal symbol for construction. Plus the fact that it has wide, working tracks to move around. It’s like a tank. However this Lego Technic Set isn’t mass-produced anymore so it’s a bit hard to find, but not impossible. You can find Lego Technic Bulldozer sets on Amazon from third-party sellers ranging in price from $230 – $300.

We were drawn to the Lego Technic Mine Loader because it’s a giant wheel buggy with a cool arm in front that can grab and lift anything. As a kid, this is a cool function! Plus at only 476 pieces, this absolutely for a kid. It’s enough pieces to be a bit of a challenge, but still very accessible. The Lego Technic Mine Loader stands at only 2″ tall (because mines aren’t very tall) but is 13″ long. Think of it as the batmobile, but with a giant arm in front, oh and yellow. The Lego Technic Mine Loader is a must for any Lego Technic Construction Set.
Lego Technic Forest Machine
How many kids are aware of what forest machines do? Well, we’re not sure, but enough that there is a Lego Technic Forest Machine set. Maybe because it’s big at 7″ tall and 13″ in length or maybe because it has a giant saw in front that kids love. Regardless, the Lego Technic Forest Machine is surprisingly popular, it’s at least one of the more popular Lego Technic Construction Sets. Basically you can make the Lego Technic Fire Plane be the fastest firefighting plane in the world!

It’s a POWER BOAT but we should emphasize that this doesn’t actually float, there are lots of little pieces so it would take on water if actually placed in a large body of water. With that being said, the Lego Technic Power Boat is SUPER cool to play within your imagination and for collectibles. At 3″ tall and 9″ long, the Lego Technic Power Boat isn’t especially large, it’s made for ages 8+ because it has only 174, so it can be assembled in 30 minutes. However, if you’re building a community of Lego Technic Cars and Lego Technic Planes, you might as well have a Lego Technic Power Boat to round out your city. We’re a bit disappointed that the Lego Technic Power Boat doesn’t have an actual motor, but since it can’t go in the water, maybe that’s ok.
Lego Technic Ocean Explorer
If you want the largest Lego Technic Boat possible, you need to go with the Lego Technic Ocean Explorer Set! It is a giant boat with a helicopter pad and a submarine dock. You will be the living the Life Aquatic with everything you need to explore the ocean or go whale watching. This set is flexible as it can also become a barge with a working crane, but let’s be honest, the initial Lego Technic Ocean Explorer directions are way better! What’s great is you get three toys in one with the Lego Technic Set including the large boat, a small helicopter, and submarine. It’s perfect for kids who like to explore and build.
Racing Yacht
Is this a very complex Lego Technic Set, no the Lego Technic Racing Yacht is super simple with only 330 pieces but it looks so cool and fast! The 11″ tall and 14″ in length Lego Technic Racing Yacht is an excess of luxury for anyone wanting to use the power of the wind to race around the world! The Lego Technic Racing Yacht has an operable rudder, turning winch and eye-catching design. Plus if you get bored with the Lego Technic Racing Yacht initial design, you can convert it to a Lego Technic Catamaran for some diversity. Can the Lego Technic Racing Yacht float in water? Nope, but most (if not all) Lego Technic Sets can’t actually float. This is a show stopper design to collect or play with, just not in water.
